Call For Papers

We strongly encourage researchers in the fields of machine learning, statistics, information retrieval, natural language processing, computational biology, computer vision, and robotics to submit abstracts (up to 6 pages in LNCS format) or full papers (up to 12 pages in LNCS format) detailing the major points and/or results they would present during a talk. Each submission will be reviewed by at least two reviewers. Please submit your abstracts electronically (PDF or PS format) to EasyChair.

Presentations and Posters

Authors of accepted papers will be required to present their work at the workshop either in an abstract or in a full paper form.

Submissions

HLIE 2008 will not accept any paper which, at the time of submission, is under review or has already been accepted for publication in a journal or another conference. Authors are also expected not to submit their papers elsewhere during the review period of HLIE 2008.

The papers must be in English and must be formatted according to the Springer-Verlag Lecture Notes in Artificial Intelligence guidelines. Authors instructions and style files can be downloaded at http://www.springer.de/comp/lncs/authors.html. The maximum length for submissions is 6 pages for abstracts or 12 pages for full papers in this format.

Papers submitted to HLIE 2008 will normally be reviewed by two referees.
