Numerical Values
Name |
Numerical Values |
Description |
If a learning algorithm uses numerical values as its example language, it uses a fixed set of attributes with numerical domains to
represent the instances of an underlying universe of discourse.
Numerical domains
- are not necessarily finite and
- have a natural interpretation, that can be used for calculations by a learning algorithm,
which are the two main differences to nominal attribute-value representations,
restricting algorithms to distinguish between different values.
